Can it be done... Fridge?

Thread Starter
Well yesterday i found this in my attic:

http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7493/fridgeau9.jpg

It's my old fridge i had for my room for my drinks in the summer, well my plan is to build the MOBO, Processor, RAM, Graphics Card. But all with fans as normal like in a case but just to see how cold it gets..

Here is my plan for my idea:

I know its not very detailed, but its a rough plan.

Any comments welcome

Nope you tit. Find Duckie and look at his signature for more info lol. If it worked wouldn't you expect to see someone doing it? Try putting something hot in your fridge and see what it does (and how much electricity you waste)

BTW, that little puny thing will not work especially

Congratulations! You are the 292742nd member to ask this question. The answer is no it is not possible and it never will be. You will burn out the fridge in minutes.

Yep... this must be brought up more than any other topic

A fridge is meant to keep things cold and is NOT designed to cool something that is constantly producing heat... have you ever noticed how a fridge makes a whirring up sound? Have you ever noticed that it only happens maybe once every 2-4 hours? That would be the fridge starting up to refrigerate it's contents... the rest of the time, it's using insulation to keep itself cool! If the fridge had something inside of it that was producing a constant heat, it would need to constantly whir up and would die within a matter of minutes

I did think this but just wanted to know what people also thought, its the same principle of putting hot soup in a fridge, it just cant cool it very well and can cause damage to the fridges parts.

But cheers for all of your comments

If you did have a fridge that could stand it, wouldn't the air condense on it, causing it to short circuit?
