Why are you so worried about getting a P45, it offers very little new and you will end up with a worse motherboard.

The Pi series are the same as the G.Skill PK's which are highly recommended on here... they are on offer on memory config which is why i showed you them

In response to usman hussain - for the price of that 780i board he could have a new DFI, and im sure i know which one overclocks better...

I will say it again. The striker 2 is one of the best SLI boards you will get. Along with 4GB of killer DDR2 RAM...

Honestly man don't miss out on that deal. Them motherboards are like £170 on their own otherwise. Don;t get the lighweight 750i...

Get the all guns blazing 780i.

Personally i would get the 780i with 4gb as this does allow high oc's (not as high as a dfi) but still a good jump and it also allows you the possabiliy of going SLI if you need to.

Cool DFI sounds the bomb.

I don't like the look of the NB Heat Sink. Would that need upgrading. I also notice here is no Mosfet Heatsinks.

PS them Striker Board are amazing but i'm not after world record breaking bench marks. I just want to play my games smoothly. This stuff has got to last me till March Next Year then i'll build a new rig

If you check www.derehamcomputers.co.uk
I get free P&P from them because I know the owner

okay so what about the PSU that i mentioned earlier. it by BFG they have lifetime warrenty and it has 4 rails each at 22A. Review wise it beats the OCZ and its cheaper.

the motherboard part i recommended the 780I ASUS P5N-T. what was wrong with that. its cheaper.

the PSU is just for future panning. thats why i recommended it.

DFI Motherboard doesn't support my CPU yet I hate doing bio updates they are like the life and soul of your system. I would like to wait for the P45 (Pro) that will support my CPU. I cr-p myself when doing BIOS updates

The heatsink won't need upgrading, but you can do if you want to

It you don't see heatsink's then its basically because it doesn't need them

Edit: also, i think your cpu should work - im sure someone can confirm if the 45nm dual cores work with the P35 out of the box
