E8400 or E8500? - Page 2

You might as well wait for the E8600 that's comming. 3.33ghz

That should lower the 8400 and 8500 prices as well.

I have the e8400 and have the .5 multi. Didn't help me get a better clock though. I have a bad batch (>_<).

Came across a good deal here on OCN so i went ahead and got a E8500 , thanks to Xecuter2. I just installed it. I love the low temps. I only have it oc'd to 3.7 but tomorrow I'll shoot for 4.0.

E8400 at $195 or the E8500 at $270? Is it worth $75 more? The 8500 has a 9.5 multi where as the 8400 has a 9.0 correct? How much more of an oc can I expect?
I've had E3110 and used it for a while at 4.05GHz.
Got tired of setup and upgraded to E8500.
Now, I am using 4.44GHz 24/7, also can post at 4.75GHz.
It was worth for me, but idk about others especially normal pc consumers.

X9.5 X9

However, it all depends on your luck. I bet some nice E8400s beat E8500 too.
I bought 08-03 E8500 if it helps.
