For one: Really old news.
For two: It's so true...

If I add up the wife's laptop running Vista, she has a crash rate of 64 percent.

nVidia = 28.8
MicroSoft = 17.9
Intel = 8.8
Unknown = 17 (divide that by 2 for all reminding hardware drivers)

Now I have a reason to be mad a hell about fixing Vista every time she complains. Her up time is only 36 percent. And the sad thing is, that's almost so real.

I've had probably 5 BSOD's in one month.. sad to hear that it can mostly be NVIDIA's fault.

Is your computer stable?

BSOD's are pretty much a thing of the past.. unless it is an instability issue.

Run memtest for 10 passes.

No, this is when I bought my HP about 3months ago. and it was using onboard video cause I didn't have a video card at the time. I'm gussing that 75% of my BSOD's are HP's fault, but I'm not going to send it in as warranty because I just added this is GPU and they will give that to me as a excuse to not repair/replace it.

Market share for the main companies goes as follows:

Intel: 42.7%
Nvidia: 32.7%
ATI: 18.6%

Nvidia had 61% of the "graphics card" crashes, ATI had 20%, and Intel had 19% to put the market share into perspective.

I believe they can re-name the "other" portion of that pie to "Overclockers"

The only time I get crashes in gameplay is from OC... Just cause my cards run one game at certain settings, that doesnt meen it will run all games...

As for any other crashes, its just when I OC the rest of my system too far...

Right now, No crashes No BSOD's, it runs fine
