Oh, OK, I get it now!
It's A-OK to post news of fake space stuff
- but, post anything about Real space news
! and the thread disintegrates into trolling, flaming, and eventually gets pulled.
I was so disheartened with that- I didn't even bother to post pictures of yesterdays Shuttle Launch.
I was there for it- as always; but I just didn't post them this time around!....
- Unfortunately, that's too bad for those of you that would have enjoyed them!
[/rant] and [/disappointment]
Not aimed at you SZ! (natch)

Looks like a great "Space" Game, not quite an all out shoot-em up- maybe a smattering of Sci-tech in there , and just a little bit of piloting skill needed for good measure.
Although, take out the backdrops and replace the "blasters" with "tommy's" and it is just another FPS.
I mean how much can you do with the genre?; It's you against the world, battling untold numbers of enemies; trying to save the day/world/girl/ win the war/ defeat the monsters. etc. etc.
( After DII LOD I pretty much gave up gaming ) (
; Yeah, that's right DII LOD, and Yeah-that was when I was at Uni-not when I was 8- so...Yeah... I am
I guess one of the reasons Is that I now prefer the "realism" and level of technical proficiency of Sims.

Orbiter Home Page
for a quick synopsys!
It's like FlightSim, but with the Shuttle, rockets, Delta Gliders and other futuristic spaceships and docking/landing sites; instead of Deltas parking at LaGuardia.
Just throw a little Orbital mechanics in there and you can pull off a rendezvouz at a Lagrange Point instead.
(Many ports are on other Planets, Moons or Comets-All with differing G-loads) -and many on "accurate" terrain mappings.
Sure the graphics aren't quite as hot as the latest titles, and the "action" is much more sedate (sorry ridlin kiddies
); but, it's written entirely by amateurs and is completely FREE.
(and addictive too)
- new "quests" (aka "missions") and you just want to play one more time- so you can "stick" that docking/landing/rescue flawlessly!
