yeah, it was always dodgey from day one, so i think they just sold me ****e, those checky bastads , well it must of just been my cards cooler but i was getting 40 idle which dont seem as good for a graphics card that like an extra 30 extra than the standard cards .

Edit - i tell u what though a volt mod as well thats hoot!

I personally never got a problem from ati, bought a x1950pro a while back from them, and the card literaly had some broken parts. I called them up and they exchanged it for me.

Bad advice IMO. I work in customer service, and the people that call me up with a hostile attitude get worse service. It's not just me, but people in customer service in general. I've talked to many people in customer service field, and they resonate my sentiments on the issue. It's a HUGE misconception that if you call up and raise a stink, you'll get a better response. It's 95% certain that it will go WORSE for you! They know that you have been inconvenienced by their product being bad, or you wouldn't be on the phone with them. Treat customer service people with respect and you will get respect in return. Give them hell, and you shall receive it in return. Ask yourself. If you were in their shoes, and someone was copping an attitude with YOU, would you want to go out of your way to help them? Raising a stink is the LAST RESORT to resolve an issue if you feel that you are being yanked around by customer service. Even then, don't cop an attitude with a lower ranked representative. They can only help you out so much anyways. Save it for the supervisor. They get paid a lot more to take more attitudes, and generally respond better as such.

my point is this......

in OCing the card u break the warantee so if they even get a sniff this is what happened they WILL NOT replace it

by kicking up a fuss on the phone it will make him appear angry that this expensive piece of H/W has just died out of the blue & make him seem oblivious to OCing ...& other volt mods

play dumb & upset ....its a winner every time...

Playing dumb - Yes, do that! Being oblivious to what overclocking is is a must. Getting hateful is still last resort when things don't go your way.
