Modded Swiftech Plates

Thread Starter
So I got an idea yesterday. I had seen these at moddersmart a few weeks back, but didn't really think they were worth 10 shipped. So yesterday I got the idea of actually painting the hold down plates as a much cheaper alternative. Since my color scheme for my upcoming build with the Syrillian tech station is black and red, I figured I would spraypaint the hold down plates with a semi gloss black. Well I went out and bought the spraypaint today and did the modding. I must say it looks absolutely fantastic. To carry on with the black/red scheme I even spraypainted my aftermarket ramsinks for my gskill ram, zalman ramsinks for the gpu, south bridge heatsink, and even my mosfet sink And yes I used thin thin thin coats so that I wouldn't insulate the heat too much. Everything looks absolutely fantastic now.

So back to the waterblocks. I ended up doing it to the hold down plates on my mcw30, mcw60, and my apogee gt. Picture is below. Enjoy!

hah. I voided the warranty the first minute I got it, so I don't really care. I don't really *plan* on killing my board anytime soon. (knock on wood)

I take good care of my stuff. With the exception of my 8800 GT lol.
