OCing my card too high?

Thread Starter
I have an eVGA 8800GTS 512 (G92) videocard OCed to 755 core clock, 1885 shader clock, 1005 memory clock. That's up from stock: 670/1675/970.

I'm just wondering how far can I push this card (which is completely stock) before I start risking damage or problems? At these settings I have run ATItools for 30mins with no problems/artifacts. I see OCed cards sold with them only raised by 25MHz, and I'm wondering if there is a reason for that.

I'm running my 9800GX2 with: 712Mhz/1780Mhz/1049Mhz (2098Mhz) and have runned ATITool and scannned for artifacts in 2 hours - Non problems

The stock: 600Mhz/1500Mhz/1000Mhz.

I tested how slighten the FPS increase, and I saw on 3DMark06 that it increased with 10fps ( which is very good ).
But have a question: When clocking my GPU, do you need to increase any PSU for the GPU or some? Or just tune it up and game?

I don't know the max, but if it works fine with what you have you can increase 5by5 and run 3DMark06 and scan. Until you find it nice to have and game with that in a week and increase more..
