well as it has been stated before really... Use coretemp/everest/speedfan to check your temps, CPU-Z/everest/speedfan to check the Vcore. Speedfan to regulate fan speeds. Orthos(my choice nmbr1)/prime for stress testing. Benching can be done by 3Dmark06/pcmark vantage/sandra!

You should be fine though, just start up slowly and make sure you UNDERSTAND what you're changing. Aslong as that's the case and you're carefull nothing can really go bad!
