First timer, could use help!

Hi guys!

Glad to have found this section and its community!
I have to admit, I am a Lord N00b of cooling and OC in general! But i'm willing to learn. I already started to get info from the guide thread. one of them being : http://www.overclock.net/overclock.p...ling-guide.htm)

Still, I feel lost and could use some help to make a decision.
I've dealt with a few rigs already so I feel confident enough to play with cooling.

I just have ordred a new machine and would like your comments on it as well!
- Thermaltake Kandalf LCS Black ATX (Photo)
-Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40ghz, 1066FSB 8MB
- Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333 2GB 9-9-9-27 (stock)
- ASUS Maximus Extreme
- Sapphire HD3870 X2 1024M
- Corsair 750W (don't recall which one)

I need some advice, step by step on how to build my own water cooling system for at least CPU/GPU. Models and prices suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You have a decent rig so I will give you a decent build for it...

CPU..Custom..Stinger WB..Commercial...D-tek Fuzion V2

I'd use a back plate....Dtek FuZion Intel 775 Pro-Mount set

Pump...D-5

Rad..This with 47+ cfm fans..GTX360..This with -47cfm fans....PA.3

GPU...Swifty 60

Res .DD 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir..Or just use a t-line...

Tubing.7/16x5/8".Use it on 1/2" barbs, it will flow about as well as full 1/2" and is more compact and fits the barbs tighter....Or this for full size...1/2x3/4"

Coolant.PT Nuke...This for a biocide....Pentosin

Automotive clamps or just use zip-ties....

Since your running 2 GPU's you might want to set up 2 seperate loops if your wanting max OC..Or use a 480 GTX with some decent fans on it.. GTX480...86cfm Pana..These would be better..115cfm Panaflo-SVC..Shrouds will help on a GTX...

Take your time and do a little research now and you can build a rig that suits your needs....I'll leave you a reading list and my cleaning and set-up PDF,its just basic cleaning and set-up info, be sure to read all the stickies here, there is a lot of good info in them...
