Thanks everyone.

I just installed the new pair (4GB total now) and I didn't have to mess with any of the settings nor did I have to bump up the voltage. I have the older double sided ones and the new single sided ones. Is it okay to leave them stock like this? I don't want to risk burning out the new sticks because they're from the 93472 batch.

Yeah my newer Ballistix burned out on 2.2Volts after 3 months running slightly overclocked at 4-4-4-12 900mhz. all 4 sticks (8gb kit) died.

be careful with them

I guess I'll leave it stock then.. no need to risk it.

Does OCing RAM make a big difference anyway??

OCing RAM has a marginal effect on OCing. I noticed Windows loads faster with faster RAM so there is some gain to be had. As well as with F@H applications.

I want to swap these for a native 1000mhz kit that can do 4-4-4-1000mhz

sgdude,

Do you have the older Ballistix or newer single sided ones? How long have you had them and how are they working out for you?
