One guy got his to 3.8ghz, but that's on water. Another with the DS3L motherboard got his to 3ghz without changing the voltages at all which is impressive.

As for the Abit Vs Gigabyte motherboards, I'd go for the gigabyte. It's £16 cheaper and known to be a fantastic overclocker. My friend took his e6750 to 3.6ghz on it easily, and Coffeejunky with a Abit IP35 himself is recommending the DS3L.
Don't get me wrong the ip35 is a great board, It has a few flaws, and I can get great overclocks with it but its not worth the extra over the ds3l IMO, its only worth buying if its the same price. OP: I reccomend you get the case/psu bundle deal I recccommended, its a great offer .

yeah think the DS3L is surewin, and not sure bought E2180 or E7200, the 7200 has extra 2Mb cache, and extra 266mhz FSB, but its extra £40...Is it worth the extra money? cos id spend extra £40 for cpu definitely.

It depends what you want. The e2180 is fantastic for its price, but you need a good cooler like the OCZ Vendetta 2. Witha good cooler 3.2ghz should be easy at about 1.45v.

hmm i reckon i shud go for the E7200, as a 3ghz OC seems simple enough and extra FSb and L2 cache seems invaluable for extra 40 quid!
