First link is broken, and if it's just an x48 and x38 comparison? Not much really...nothing worth the extra money.

So you think the X38 is nothing differnt go with it. Will it be able to handle me working on 3 to 5 things at once burning 2 different things on 2 drives at once and being on the web surfing while all the whole system runs smooth.

of course there is no reason that any mobo couldnt handle that especially since we are talking about very high end mobo's here

That would be more dependent on the stability/performance of your system and no as much on your mobo, although a better mobo can provide better performance to your processor, it has almost no affect on how much you can do at once.

For heavy multitasking, you'd benefit more from a quad-core and 4GB memory than just shooting for a high-end motherboard.

Damn I hate being a noobie. sorry. Iafter reading about that card on the Newegg Pros and Cons I just download alot and I just do not want to lose any of my speed trust me on that. This motherboard should be able to make it through right. Everyone on there con said that it has a problem on downloading. Well I have a couple of more questions a graphics card for this motherboard. I want to also put a tuner in itif not get a graphics card with a tuner already built in . I own vista ultimate and this computer isnt going to be a gaming system but a media system but I want it to have pretty great praphics.
any suggestions out there

Although the motherboard would have some influence over this issue, I think that the processor, and the ram would have a more significant influence in multi-tasking like you said
