If you want SLi, stick with eVGA and XFX.

Thread Starter
Great! As of now I'm convinced to resell my Striker and find me a 750i.
Thanks Ericeod, whe3ls, and the rest of you.

I'm still open to suggestions from others, so please voice your opinion.

That prime95 screen you quoted proves nothing....

Its been run for no more than 5 minutes.

To make sure my overclock is good I ran the following:

Large FFT's for 6 hours
Small FFT's for 8 hours
Blend test for 12 hours

2 hours of looping 3dmark06
30 loops of the Crysis bench on very high

This is all on my wonderful eVGA 780i board. I also had the same success on my eVGA 680i A1

Just make sure u r looking for EVGA 750i FTW They changed a couple of thing comparing to reference 750i chipset and those changes made it even better at a cost of additional 50$ (board sells for 200$)

Thats fine. Since it is worthless I will remove it for you. If I had the board myself, I would run a 10 Hr Prime95 test.

BTW, did you get the COD4 issue fixed? Was it your MCP temp?

Here are some reviews on the board.

Occasionally I get b**h-slapped by my editors for cursing a little too much in my reviews; but f**k it, this is a nice mainboard guys ! The reality is simple; some features are cut away opposed to the 250-350 USD mainboards yet the rest is the same and some even better with this mainboard. In the past the 650 SLI series never was that good in overclocking, hey NVIDIA doesn't like to destroy it's own enthusiast market. But this 750i SLI FTW is just an exceptionally good mainboard if your mission is to tweak and overclock. It has everything we as enthusiast PC users want. It looks cool, even comes with multi-channel sound, including TOSLINK optical output, fantastic performance, the sexy diagnostic LED, and it has micro switches for power on/off, reset and now also CMOS (yay!).

EVGA has quite a success on their hands in the form of this new 750i SLI FTW Edition as far as overclocking goes as this motherboard excels most others in this area. Offering exceptional BIOS options that are easy to manipulate is a key factor in the success of this product and every BIOS tweaker will be satisfied with the amount of headroom available on the FTW Edition. EVGA only used high quality parts and beyond spec solid state capacitors to achieve this accomplishment and it is the king of the 750i motherboards.
