Thread Starter
Ok I found the C1E setting, it was in the Advanced Bios tab. I have disabled it.
I also read about another setting called EIST which should be disabled but that was already.

Attached is the screenshots again from CPU-Z

Thanks

when you overclock id put your memory on a lower multi and then raise the fsb then you shoud be able to get past 3.1. also raise your ram voltage to around 2.0 - 2.2

Unlink the ram Id say. And adjust nb, sb, and vcore voltages manually.
Itll take longer but be much better. Auto voltage is pretty crappy.
Check your bios to see what auto is assigning voltages and go from there in general. Bit by bit til you can boot at your wanted speed, see if its stable. If it isnt, up the voltages and get the voltage that needs to be messed with. If it is stable, see if you can lower them.

What exactly do you mean by put memory on a lower multi?
How much lower and how do I set this multi?

Thanks, sorry but I'm clueless at this.

it's probably listed as a ratio. maybe DRAM ratio or frequency. Basically you want to lower ths as low as possible(my board tells me what my speed will be with the selected ration)

EDIT* Lower it to make it easier to OC the cpu, then you can bring the ram back up to speed*
post #28 of 30
also to see your ram timming hit Ctrl F1 on the main bios page

OK, I think this is your BIOS. If it is it looks like you should take system memory multi off Auto and set it manually. Basically your RAM speed is running at a 2:3 ratio according to your CPUz screenshot. try lowering it from 2:3 to 1:1. If it isn't an option, just try using the lowest setting.

Also, please take a moment to go to User CP (top of screen) and fill out your system specs. Once you do they will show up at the bottom of your posts like everyone else.

No one has asked about your PSU so I will be the first. A good, stable PSU is needed when OCing or else it can all go to heck in a hand basket right quick. If you have a generic PSU with low amps this too could be a piece of your troublesome puzzle.
