Why not? I've heard nothing but good things about FIOS.

Wait, are Comcast and Time Warner two different providers? The reason I'm confused is because I had TW about a year ago and then they switched to Comcast, so I just assumed they were the same. [/noob]

40GB cap? That's ****ing it?

I used to do that much in two weeks, if that. I've done 52GB in 6 days before, plus normal internet usage. Now I would probably hit 40GB quite often, though not every month.

But it doesn't get cut after that, we just got throttled to 2mbps, lol, still fast by Maine standards.
I might not be as dissatisfied with that. The only time I would exceed that is if I were downloading a game, e.g. Steam or whatnot. At least for now anyway, in a few years an HD video stream will consume that very quickly.

This won't help you folks running servers (ftp, web, game, whatever). But I'll bet if you look in your terms of service, you probably aren't technically allowed to run any kind of server on a consumer line anyway. I know that's part of mine, because I was actually worried that would "detect" my ftp server and I would "get in trouble", or something. (This was ten years ago, when I was still a broadband n00b.)

What the heck?! 5GB and 40GB?! Time Warner, I'm starting to like Comcast's idea of a 250GB limit a bit more.
