Will my sig rig run Age of Conan?

Thread Starter
i got back out of pc gaming so i got rid of my higher end gear and just slapped excess parts together to get what you see in my sig rig.

im really intrigued by Age of Conan and want to give it a try. im not gonna buy it or upgrade any pc parts until i have gotten to try the game out first to make sure i even like it.

with my current setup, could i run the game? im fine with having to run everything on the lowest settings just to try the game out

that video card isnt gunna cut it. 9800GTXs even have trouble on anything above low settings. My friend has an ATI x1650 and says he gets an average of 8 fps.

I get about 35-40 FPS on high at 1920x1200 on my rig.

It's hard on the hardware, for sure!

If you want a great visual experience, you might want to consider some upgrades.

Uhhh what? It runs extremely well with absolutely everything at max on an 8800GT with a Q6600 @ 1680x1050.

That being said, you could maybe run the game with everything on low, but I'd strongly recommend a video card upgrade. 8800GTs are cheap as hell these days.

8800s are overkill for me, i just sold mine a few weeks ago. i think if i like the game enough, ill build back up to a small C2D and something like 8600ish

lolwut?

An 8600 is NOT enough power for AoC. An 8800GT will play it fine AND is very cheap. 8800GT overkill? That's insanity. That's like selling your Honda Accord because it's too powerful...

Guys guys guys!!

8800GT runs this game very nicely

TURN SHADERS OFF!

It increases ure FPS by atleast 15-30.

Video options > Shadow quality and turn it off.

Little tip!

And yes a 8600GT is a rubbish card and cant even handle high at 1280x1024 properly.
