[PC Gamer UK] Crysis sells 3 million through Retail - Page 4

3 million is very good, but is it enough to satisfy Crytek?
The number was only 1 million 4 months ago.

And what about EA store sales?
This is what I don't get people are mimicking everyone who says Crysis runs like crap. Was anyone able to max-out oblivion when it first came out? NO this is a great piece of engineering. It is a great achievement to sell 3 million on PC when you require a decent PC to run it.

Great work Crytek. Cevat Don't complain about piracy please

The game runs amazing and the most important thing is that game is hard to pass and its far the best pleasure I have had in a game. More fun than Cod2 and cod2 was awesome.
lol, i'm not one of the 3 mill... yet, I'm still playing the demo repeatedly because I'm cheap.

Its playable on max on my rig so most of the 3mil should be able to play on low-med settings... unless they are using intel integrated graphic lol in which case they are pretty much dealing with a slideshow scenario whenever they use their PC.

lol now that I think about it.... pretty sure intel integrated graphics would have problems running a slideshow...

It went on sale for $20 and suddenly sales skyrocketed (patches + newer graphics cards helped as well). I didn't want to spend $50 on a potentially buggy game that didn't run well, but $20 was fine. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I still wouldn't pay $50 for it due to the assortment of bugs left in the game. It's frustrating seeing them abandon patching and just moving on to the expansion pack. Oh well.

There's no way that they sold 3 million copies.. A few months ago it was like 90,000.. I don't remember hearing about 1 or 2 million copies being sold..

I think this is false.

I would definitely buy this game if my computer had the parts to support this game. I will most likely try this out on the consoles instead.

Yes, total denial must be the answer.

I enjoy playing Crysis. Granted I hate the story and laugh at the bugs. Crysis is one of the few games where it's fun to just play and enjoy the graphics and watch the physics as I try different ways of taking down guards.

When I first played Crysis I brought into all the hype and was expecting more than what I got and was therefore disappointed. I put away for a few months then and took back out for a second chance. Funny thing is I actually enjoy playing it now.

In the first month it came out it went from 90k to 1million sold in the first 2 weeks. This number doesn't suprise me, it got a lot of hype.
