120mm radiator not enough?

Thread Starter
I bought a hardware labs black ice GTS 120 radiator (I think thats the name) and I was searching around about radiators and I see people are using 240mm radiators to wc there pc since I'm just gonna wc my cpu and NB possibly will the 120mm radiator be enough to cool the E8400 when overclocking or no? I have been trying to sell my radiator so I can get a 240 but just seeing if I'm better off getting 240 or stick with 120?

Thanks in advance!

A 120mm rad is not very good at all. it can handle a chipset/mosfet loop well, but it can't cool a cpu very well, let alone a cpu and a north bridge.
it would handle the 8400 if you had 2 crazy fans but not the NB too

yeah i played that 120mm rad game. i spent more $$$ in the long run. now it's 240,320. just for fun i'm getting a gtx480 for a new build just for gpu loop. yeah i go overkill cause it's better that way.

I agree it will depend on the cpu though.

I would say get at least a 240GT for single cpu and maybe chipset and a 360GTX or 480GTX for cpus chipset and GPUS on a single loop. Keep in mind the more you cool the stronger the pump you will need

That'd be pushing it. I recommend not using an aquarium pump for multiple block loops.

I'll just stick with cpu anyways I don't want to spend 100 bucks on a GPU block anyways.
