quick fix...help= rep+

Thread Starter
im using ati tool to scan for artifacts while overclocking my 8800 gtx through riva tuner, and although the scan picks up artifacts, the timer at the bottom of the window where it says No errors for -- and then how ever long the test has been running for, it doesnt reset when yellow pixels appear (artifacts). This means that for the whole 15 minutes while i test my overclock, i have to closley observe the window, rather than ocasionally checking to see whether the timer has reset. any ideas on how to fix this small nuisance?

I don't think that ati tool's artifact scanner works in the sense that it will find artifacts for you... last I heard...
I think that part of the scanner is kinda broken.

ATITool is near worthless nowadays... and honestly I havn't found a replacement.

If atitool is erroring then your games will error almost instantly, atitool isn't as hard on the cards as new games.. or so it seems.

I've ran atitool for 3 hrs before and had no errors or glitches, and then run crysis for 30 mins and get artifacting.

ii don't know if this will help any but i have reallized ati tool does not work very well in vista so if it is ariacting even a little your oveclock is probably unstable. As for the fix i suggest you reinstall or go with an older virtion of ati tool, it fixed mine.

If you see any of those "Yellow Specks" while your running the test, your basically having artifacts.
