Dual Monitor Question.

Thread Starter
I am using a 32" LCD TV as my primary monitor and a 20" LCD for my secondary.

The problem I am having is when I am playing CSS (or any other game) on my 32", and I try to use the internet (or do anything else) on the 20" LCD it minimizes the game that I am playing on my 32".

Is there a way for me to be able to play games on my 32" and browse the internet on my 20"???

Thanks in advance.

Play your game in a window. That will allow you to do whatever you want on the other monitor.

Play your game in a window that is the resolution of your 32". You might have a tiny bit of the window showing though. I don't know of any other ways so wait and see what others suggest

I used to have an 8800gtx slightly different than your setup however you can play in fullscreen and still have a different screen on a separate monitor you must do this with the driver for the card...in the console you have the option of choosing either clone or extend...you know this already the issue is that you do this by first opening the windows application and then the game afterwards.

If the gaming window overrides the application window then you may have to update your vga driver.

Unfortunately I have yet to find a way to do this, I don't think it possible to unless its run in windowed mode like others have said. For Dual monitors download Ultramon-

http://realtimesoft.com/ultramon/

It gives you loads of little features which allow you to take advantage of both screens.

The thing is with gaming in windowed mode, is that if you move the mouse pointer off your 32, you lose focus on the game. This could mean you get merked as you scramble to get the mouse pointer back onto your bigger monitor.

I'd suggest you run it fullscreen so it locks the pointer onto the game screen, and keep alt+tabbing out, it's the safest way to not get killed. (unless you're playing single player and you can just pause it)
