Ram/voltage Question? Please Help!!!

Hi guys please help me out here.

My 2gb kit balistik tracer has die... I think i gve it a electricity shock. It is a PC8500 when i got it i did not know much about ram and have it running at 1066 at 1.90 volt... it was sweet for 3 weeks ... until last week it started to fails when play games and my computer would froze sometime. I did some reading here and there to find out what happened, and its look like it was my ram voltage... some say lower volt would not hurt the ram but other say low volt does affect it in some way.

So i decide to set it at vdimm recomendation of 2.2v - 0.02 It ran fine for 1 week no crashing, or fail in any way. But it died 3 days ago without a warning ... I just install the game Grid and when i click on the game icon the computer froze... and when i restart the light of the ram went dead...

I am getting a new ram so i would appreciate if some one could let me know which is best volt for ram? should it be lower than the vdimm says? or should it be equal???

And is there anyone have some experience with the 4GB kit OCZ reaperX pc8000 (the one with the thermalright heat sink)? I heard that they used powerchip ( is this chip good? ) it's vdimn state 2.1volt? why so low? does this mean this kit is not good for ocing?

Please help me out! i have not touch my beloved computer for 3 days already...

The recommended voltage is best ,but most will run a bit lower.

Have you tried to use one ram at a time and run memtest to see if you get any errors. 2.1v should have been ok. My ram say 2.1 but I used 1.9v. It's at 2.15v because I have 4x1gig and the controller needed more voltage for overclocking.
