Outlook Web Access inserts curse words after the time stamp in subject line....

I work in a hospital and I have tried EVERYTHING to figure this out. Have done the pre-req virus, spyware scans ect ect.

I cant figure it out.

DOES NOT do it if you use Outlook 2003 on the same computer, but DOES do it if you access OWA from that same computer. Out of the 800 pc's here, this is the only one doing it. Anyone ever heard of this?

It's the "F" word and "S" word followed by "!!" so it's definitively malicious.

Krunk, i've never heard of anything like this, but it's fairly easy to narrow down the variables. OWA is a completely web based applet, it does not load outlook or any of it's components on the local machine, it's all a virtual session hosted on the server. This lets us know that the issue is not something to do with Outlook itself. Next we know that the problem is not something being performed on the server side since the problem is only on one specific. This means clearly something has been done to (i'm assuming this is the standard for the hospital) IE on the local machine to cause the inserted words. The simplest solution i can think of would be to simply export the registery from a "good" machine, and improt it into this machine. This should stop the problem rather tidly.

Yup, I've narrowed everything down that you just did, lol.

Did not think of the registry issue though, I'll look into that tomororw.

thanks
