Innovatek Screw-In Inline Water Temp Probe guide?

I picked up an Innovatek Screw-In Inline Water Temp Probe at little cost . I don't have instructions that go with it. Is there a way to change the compression barbs to reg or a way to install it my loop with the compression bars?

Man I don't know, do you have a link to it?.....If its one of those little paddle wheel kind I wouldn't use it, they are really restrictive...

it was $5, I see a way to unscrew the probe and maybe put it into something else that is less restrictive.

I haven't seen any good inline temp probes. They are all too restrictive as ira said.

I would look at removing the probe and finding a way to get it into the loop. I have seen some people literally run the wire between the hose and barb and let the probe hang in the flow. If you have a barb that was long enough, you may be able to clamp it down enough to hold.

Other than that, putting it through a hole in a standard union and gluing or epoxying the hole may work.

edit: I use a T line and a fill port. I suppose you could always just run the probe down the t-line until it is sticking into the flow.

If you can take that probe out just put it in a T, just have the tip of it right down in the flow a little...Thats the way I make mine with Alpahacool probes.I just silicone it in well, then heat shrink it...I was trying to leave you a pic of it, but I couldn't log into my hosting service for some reason....I just hook it to a compu-nurse for a read out......

EDIT: The crazy place finally let me sign in...The probe is just to the left of my pressure gauge, I have one before the rad and one after so I can see how much I drop across it...Thats a old rig but I've put them in my new one to, I'd like to have one right after the block and in the res to...Its added restriction but I run CPU only and have a high head pump...They are really no more restrictive then just the T, I'd get the tip just a hair down into the flow, just enough to break the surface of the water...If I was only going to just use one I'd put it right after the rad, that way you can tell how well your rad is performing...I like to keep my rad out to ambient delta at under 5c, the lower the better...They test rads at how much heat it can take with a 10C rad out to ambient delta...
