I absolutely agree with you.

I grew up on three things while "Developing" my video-game taste...

1)Mechwarrior
2)Resident Evil 2
3)And Tekken

And now the sequels have made me ashamed of them all

I have the 1st mechwarrior on this laptop at work running in dosbox. It was probably one of the 1st games I played on my pc. Why did microsoft even bother to buy the franchise if they were just going to drop it? Sell it to someone else that would make use of it.

man, for a second there I thought the article was going to say no more living legends.

I love Mechwarrior, especially MW2 mercs, my first serious computer game. I had heard about there being no new mechwarrior games but living legends looks to be about as true to the mechwarrior/battletech series as MW2 was, if not more so.

M$ is boning the series. They are using it, just not developing MW5... they are making more and more mechassaults and don't realize that there are different people who would buy the mechassault's from the people who would buy MW5....
