RROD anytime now

Thread Starter
Well,

I was playing COD3 for about 30 minutes when I noticed that the fps was going waayy down, to 12-15 fps.

Then all the textures went crazy, like a video stress test, and then froze all together. It's been doing similar things for NFS Carbon. My 360 is in a well ventilated area, And It isn't the condition of the disc causing extra stress on the 360. It's also one of the falcon chipsets, so I'm stumped. I think I'll give M$ a call tomorrow after school.

Rep + for any ideas/suggestions/feedback

Thanksmuch.

Try clearing your 360's cache.

I could be that your power connector is lose. Mine did something similar and that was the problem. Try reconnecting everything and see what happens.

Including ones that prevent glitches in ones like Oblivion.

A few tell tale signs that I've experienced before I receive an RRoD are as follows:

1. Exceedingly long login times. Usually with my connection I can expect 1.5 to 2 spins of the icon before I am signed in.

2. Artifacting on the screen which is usually followed by a freeze.

Then finally the RRoD rears its ugly head on me. It's happened on two occasions with the same symptoms.
