Hi all, im new to this community, so please bare with me!

I have a ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe with an E6600 @ stock 2.4GHz and 4 1GB wintech PC2-6400 800 MHz memory modules. The problem is that when I run CPUZ, it tells me that memory slots 1 and 3 have PC2-5300 Modules and that slots 2 and 4 have PC2-6400 modules. How can this be possible if I bought the same modules??? could it be that I got ripped off with the second set of modules??? any help will be appricieated!

Possibly but..

Update BIOS maybe? My Asus boards had memory and cpu identification issues early on so I'm wondering if your BIOS is old and that's why..

Also, check the RAM.. Are they all the same item # or model #? if they are you probably didn't get ripped off, something else.

Yeah, I checked the serial number, order number, and all those other numbers and they were exactly the same. I bought them from newegg. What I have not done though is to update the BIOS. Thank you for your help, maybe that is the problem!
