Fantastic!

So, All I'd need to do it update the BIOS and stick a fan on the NB?

Yeah, F8 Bios like you mentioned earlier.. I ran it with an Antec Spot Cool over the northbridge, no problems.. got me to around 3.3 on a G0 (By comparison, I was barely able to pull a stable 3 GHz with the e4300 i originally put in it.. (2.97 is what i settled on if my memory serves me correctly)

P.S: Nice to see another 3D'er on the board

So you got to 3.3Ghz with the F8 BIOS?

I think I'll get a 40mm fan for the NB, Play it safe.

Yeah, I can get 2.8Ghz with my E6300, but for anything over that, I need way more voltage and some on the NB.

What voltages did you have to use to get 3.2Ghz with the Q6600?

Yeah, 3DS Max FTW!

EDIT: Would it be worth me getting a new MOBO? I wouldn't want to spend loads on it, I'd want to get at least 3.2Ghz with a Q6600 and have SLI support incase I ever wanted to go down that road... Or would it be a waste of money?

I was running 1.4 on mine for 3.24 (360x9)

It may have just been my board, or certain boards, but I had found a trend with it having issues above that. but I have also seen C2D on it at alot higher FSB so???? IDK

I put +.3 to NB and GMCH and it didnt help, I tried dropping the multi to 8x and going for 400-425x8 and it wouldnt go..

But it will do 3.24 no sweat, its a great board... Like I said before, i didnt have issues with heat, but my case is a wind tunnel so a fan on the NB is always a good idea. Its a solid board, and will hold you over til you can get a newer chipset.

Ok, Thanks for that!

So, What did you have to run on the NB for 3.2Ghz?

Looking at maybe a Q6700 instead of the Q6600, is it worth the extra?

And you're sure all I'll need to do is update my BIOS?
