hello nice forum this one.
well im planning to build a new pc using one of the new alienware cases. its not an alx case though, so i asked the guy if i could use them for a liquid cooling system, he told me yes. but i need one that can be attached on the inside and its all in the inside. ive seen some cool liquid cooling systems with their pumps on the inside and all. the specs for my new pc are: a intel core 2 quad core cpu 4gb of ram corsair an evga nforce 790i mobo and im gonna be waiting for those 9900 nvidia cards so lets say 9800gx2 for now. im sticking with the alienware case because of personal things hehe. anyways you guys can give me the very best one you can come up with doesnt matter about budget. im in the marine corps so i dotn have too much time to do a really good research on the subject, so im getting out in 3 months and im ordering everything now so i can build it when i get home. yep this is gonna be my gift after 4 years of hell in the infantry hehe. any help its gonna be really appreciated.
thanx
Jonathan
oh! i forgot ill probably have a 1200 atx psu pc power

Can you post a picture of the inside of that case, I ahve no clue what it looks like. It might help, with rad and pump choice as well as whether it you can add a gpu to it with waht can fit inside. Also, you willing to do cutting to keep everything inside?

Welcome to the Forum...And Thank you for your service.....Its greatly appreciated...

Yeah your rad choice will be whatever can fit in your case internally...Those are fairly hot components, I don't see you cooling them all with a 240 rad very well..It will all depend on your internal dimensions...

But for the rest these are decent parts...

CPU..For Custom..Stinger WB.Commercial....D-tek Fuzion V2

Pump..I usually suggest the D-5....D-5....But since its all going to be a tight fit( I guess???) I would look at the 18W DDC..18W DDC.. With a after-market top.Petra DDC Pump Top..Those tops are what I usually used, there are newer and better ones now, someone else will know the best out now...

Rad???? I like the GTX rads. GTX360.. GTX480...Or a PA.160 might be better if you are tight on space???...PA 160.1 with Shroud

Res.DD 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir.Or just use a t-line, the t-line take up less space, they are just a little slower to bleed...

Tubing..7/16x5/8"..Use it on 1/2" barbs, its a little more compact, flows about a swell as full 1/2" and doesn't put as much torque on your blocks...Don't let the price full you, its really good and really cheap..I just use all new tubing every-time I break it all down to clean every 3 or 4 months or so...

This for full 1/2" tube..1/2x3/4".

Coolant.Pentosin...Biocide..PT Nuke..All of my coolant recipe is in my PDF that I'll leave for you..Always clean out you new blocks and rads before you use them for the first time...

2 or 3 zip-ties on each barb, or automotive worm drive clamps...

Here is some good reading material, be sure to read all the stickies here also, lots of good info in them...

..Assembling your Custom Watercooling Setup - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

..Bleeding my WC setup..

..I don't know if this is a problem on the newer blocks like I linked you to, but you should still open it anyway to make sure there is no crud or any thing else wrong anyway...D-Tek Fuzion install tip! (Or why you should clean new blocks)

..Poll: Push or pull configuration for Radiators

..(You might not have room for shrouds???)...Part 1- Temp's with and with-out shrouds

..How To: Make any Sized shroud in 2 minutes

..How To: Build A Performance Shroud

Its NP at all...

A 360 GTX, which I would hate to see you go any smaller then that for a CPU and GPU loop. is 20.35" L x 5.24" W x 2.13" thick....Can you fit that in the top part of your case? You might be able to take some of the 5.25" bays out if you need to...

.. GTX360

If not you should be able to get a 240 GTX in it, use some higher cfm 120x38mm fans on it and you can scrape by maybe...There is nothing that compares to rad surface area though, the more the better to keep you cool...Maybe you could go with this one and find a spot to add another 120mm rad also...

...240 GTX

I'd use at least this size fan on any rad..86cfm Pana.If you go with the 240 I'd go with these..115 Pana-S/W.Have either pulling through the rad into your case for best performance, it would be pulling the cooler room air through it rather then the hotter case air...

I'm not sure I understand the res question...Do you mean a res like this..EK-Multioption RES 100 rev.2.Or one that attaches to a 18W DDC pump like this..EK Waterblocks - EK-DDC X-RES 140..This is the pump it would go on....18W DDC

yep thats the kind of reservoir i was talking about so is the rad in the shroud gonna be going outside the case? you think those res are good to go for the config i just gave you? and yes i would like to have most of the things kinda like using the psu if its possible. those res go outside the case? im gonna start reading everything you gave me
hey thanx for the help man anything else would be apreciated
by the way anybody has that thermalpaste link around here?i bought one with my quad processor but its OEM so it came by itself i would like to know if i got a good one
