Help 'Completely' removing Creative X-Fi drivers...

Well, i underwent a mobo change na dnever gave my sound drivers a thought and didnt re-install them like all my other drivers. They have finally gone completely south, so i went and DL'ed the creative X-Fi Web Update 5 set and tried to install them. I go to install them, it says i have an older version installed and it needs to un-install those before installing the new ones. Well ok, hit yes and.....

Setup locks up, and closes after about 15mins of being locked up. Ive tried restarting, Ive also tried running DC Pro and then a registry cleaner and it still does the same thing. Ive also Re-DL'ed the drivers about 3 times now. Any ideas/proceedures im missing here?

As it stands i have no sound or anything on my comp with no known way to fix it(least known to me), which is a little annoying

maybe go into the device manager and disable your sound card and driver, uninstall using driver cleaner pro and reinstall in safe mode.
