500Mill + Please =)

Would be nice to have a $750,000,000 fine slapped on Intel, that would actually make them think - hmm...maybe we shouldnt do this
And knock up the prices for the end consumer?

Yay, I really hope that happens

No kidding.

I hate sleezy corporate money-grubbing acts like this as much as anyone else, but honestly as long as intel is still putting out a (far) superior product, it results in only lower costs for the customer base. Its only when AMD's offerings are better than intel's, but intel sells processors due to "rebates" anyway that I really begin to worry.

It's nice to see that antitrust laws are being applied to the electronics industry, specifically the PC arena- It's not fair that Intel can "manage" the flow of chips to a specific part of the world, and hopefully this will set a precedent for other countries to take action if it indeed happens in other countries.

It always seems like the fines they inflict are less than the profits made by the act. (I am obviously assuming here) I am glad they got fined as, hopefully, it will make them think a bit before trying this stuff. I have always felt that a companies success should be measured by the merits of their product and how they conduct business. If both of those are in good standing, the company should be successful without having to resort to this. Greed FTL.

QFT. I mean, Intel is already kicking the crap out of AMD. How greedy do they need to be?

Intel deserve this...100%.

What they are doing is not fair competition at all. Its all underhand and shady business. How can AMD compete with that. Atleast AMD competes fairly and brings new innovative ideas to the table.

I think I am going to go AMD again with my next build...simply because I do not agree with Intels policy in anyway shap or form. They are not getting my business.

Meh =/

Intel's current processors are destroying AMDs.

I'm guessing this is back from 2004/2005 when the 939 era was about

This means what exactly ?...I would MUCH rather go with an underdog HONEST company that does not use my money for underhand tactics such aswhat Intel has done. Screw the performance gain...im disgusted with Intel.

This is a blow to all the Intel fanboys out there who thought that AMD was getting beaten through raw innovation from Intel ....LMAO...wrong.

Yes but what about people being put out of work due to AMD being thrashed because of the illegal actions of Intel?

Families, mums and dads struggling to support themselves and their children because they have had to have their pay cut so many times, or have had their job lost because of budget cuts AMD are having to make

Yay for a $5 cheaper CPU! Its worth the distress and hardship of others! [That was sarcasm]

TOO true. You cant be like ''Well it means cheaper CPU's for us so I guess we can condone the illegal actions''
