Overclocking Advice

Thread Starter
Hello All.
By rights im very new to overclocking, but im eager to try it. my current build is

Pentium D 805 2.66 GHZ
ASUS p5ld2 -vm motherboard
2GB corsair valueselect 667 bus ram
Zalman CPNS 9700 LED hsf

im trying to overclock it to max 3.4 or 3.6. If anyone else owns a similar setup and can help id appreaciate it greatly. also ive tried tweaking the settings myself but sometimes the pc refuses to load and other times the pc loads but then when i run a game (world of warcraft) the pc freezes and i have to reset and return to factory settings.

The settings used were
FSB frq 166
PCI freq 118
PCI 33.3 mhz
cpu vcore 1.3375
all else is set to auto

temps are currently ~43 on stock with the zalman, room temp is around 30degrees Celsius and rises to 50 or 60 when the settings above are tried.
Any help would be great, Thanks.
