How did you break it apart?
Thats going to take alot of brute strength and a blowtorch...

You might need to heat the outer aluminum to get it out

I just removed the copper core from a stock cooler the other day. I tried to beat it out but that didnt work well so i took my trusty dremel with a cut off wheel and gound through the aluminum heat sink in a small line. Then I took a screwdriver and spread the aluminum heat sink and the copper core fell right out.

Or get a saw and cut it like this

(The circle of aluminum around the copper might take a while)

If someone could do that, that'd be awesome. I don't have a dremel or anything to remove the core away from the aluminum.
