I made one out of mine. The first step is to remove the core, I used a propane stove to heat it and then hammered the core out. After it cools just braze a copper pipe to the top to give it some more height. If you are going to use it though, It doesn't have enough surface area to cool a cpu. It works perfectly for a north bridge.

As for risking your rig, dice is safe it doesn't create much condensation, it's ln2 that causes a problem. Sorry for bumping an old thread.
