Yeah, i just pulled the trigger on my new rig, and after reading this i was pissed that I didn't wait, but when I think about it again, when this stuff does come out, it'll be one of two things

1. The 45nm die shrink will somehow work miracles for AMD

2. They won't be remotely competitive until their new chips come out, in which case Intel will place a premium on Core 3.

Nice, but, will they be getting any flack for the on chip memory controller since there is only one patent on it!
Hmmmm......

"Our investigation begins with the most visibly changed part of Nehalem's architecture: the memory subsystem. Nehalem implements a very Phenom-like memory hierarchy consisting of small, fast individual L1 and L2 caches for each of its four cores and then a single, larger shared L3 cache feeding the entire chip."

That description of the IMC is very broad.

Intel's CPU consists of many many transistors, much like the Phenom.

No joke, FSX is the first thing that comes to mind when I hear Nehalem. I can't wait to see what it can do.

Something seems a little fishy. They didn't list the configuration for both systems. Did anyone else see that? Or am I blind lol.
