[AnandTech] The Nehalem Preview: Intel Does It Again - Page 7

I think this will have a launch very similar to Penryn. You will see server chips and Extreme Edition launch follow by very small availability and high prices for the mainstream chips. Notebook OEMs will get their share well before the desktop stuff starts shipping in volume. It will be late Q1 early Q2 09 before the prices start becoming reasonable and the availability conistant.

They didn't test them in similar configurations. Nehalem was tested on whatever parts they could scrounge together, while the Penryn scores seem to have been taken from an earlier test.

It's just a preview, with unfinished parts.
