pulsing bass wave

Thread Starter
Hi all

I have started to get a problem with a pulsing bass ound coming from my speakers even when there is no music or anything on. If i turn my system up i can hear it. It isnt my speakers because i just chaned them and i am getting the same problem.

I went from creative inspire 7.1 to the new logitech z-5500 digitals.

I have an X-fi fatality pro and the rest of my set up is in my rig details. Has anyone had this problem before.

The best way i can describe the noise is: a bass line that gets louder then quiet then loud then quiet....like a sine wave if you could see the noise.

Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

Thanks all

try cleaning the sound card drivers and reinstalling them. If not and you are sure it's the card's problem then RMA it.

done the driver thing, RMA is pointless at this stage cause i bought it so long ago. i will try the onboartd sound to see if it is the card, never thought of that..duh lol...ty
