[Crytekl] Crysis Warhead shipping exclusively to PC this year!!! - Page 11

God damn it, this better not end up being Live!. The multiplayer in the first one wasn't a huge success in itself. I know people played it, including myself, but it's hardly a huge aspect of the game. Then they expect people to go and pay money to play online?

These new Micrsoft Live! games aren't MMO's for crying out loud. They don't need all the continuous income from subscriptions like an MMO does, as there's very little development or added features in comparison. Sure it's great if you've already got a Gold Subscription and play MS games all the time. But what if you don't own a 360 and a bunch of other MS online games and just want to hop on Warhead for a few matches? Ah no, have to pay MS moneys! Gah... oh well.

Seriously quit complaining about Crysis. It's almost the same as complaining about GPU prices. They're all great products, it's just people whining because they can't afford the latest and greatest. Just be happy with what you have and what you can do with it and stop complaining about what you can't have.

As for gameplay, why do you guys keep comparing Crysis to CoD4 and other fast-paced shooters? They're just different. Like it or not, it's only a personal preference.

And no, Left 4 Dead looks exactly like CS:S.
I beg to differ, Left4dead looks way better than CSS and it looks much more crisp than Crysis.

We aren't complaining about fps, because quite frankly Crysis looks pretty terrible on anything other than high settings even though playing on medium settings still gives most people very low fps. We are complaining about the fact that Crysis doesnt look nearly good enough to be running as poorly as it does. There are plenty of games out there that are unoptimized, Crysis is just the worst of them all.

For example; jumping over a hurdle and randomly dying, getting stuck halfway buried into objects, things disappearing when you look at them from different angles, and other visual glitches. All games have them, but some worse than others.

Some people think of poor optimization as bad AI and crappy gameplay (the way the game feels).

Crysis unfortunately has all of these problems, so take you pick of what YOU think poor optimization is and I bet you will find it in this game.

Here's a good one.
That isn't a bug. Obviously, the game's physics are so advanced that what you were seeing was a soldier who had gotten blown through a sheet of metal while still alive. The entire video featured him simply struggling out of his metal kilt. He would have made it too, if that dastardly Nomad hadn't punched the roofing while it was snug around the soldier's neck, causing it to snap and resulting in the soldier's untimely death. The violent shock to the soldier's nervous system caused him to go into prost-mortem convulsions that wiggled him the rest of the way out of the metal sheet. I should know. I'm going to medical school.

And let's be honest here, if that was a bug, then please give me more.

seriously, what more do you really think they can fix in Crysis now? no magical patch of any version is gonna all of a sudden add 10-20fps to your game and make the game suddenly run perfect...Crysis is at its optimal performance right now, no point in making any more changes. its just a waste of time and man power. they see that now, and are focusing on the next step.
So your ok with Crytek charging us for Crysis, promising patches. All of a sudden, they say screw it. We've already got your money. We're gona concentrate on making another game, so we can charge you AGAIN for crappy software.

Crytek is dead to me, a company that lies this often deserves to burn in hell. PC exclusive...haha no other system wants your crappy game thats all.

I mean just take a look at Left4Dead for example. From the gameplay videos I have seen it looks like its going to blow away Crysis graphically yet it will be able to be played maxed out on a single 8800GT I bet. Theres plenty of proof that Crytek does a bad job. I mean, valve has been supporting hl1 for nearly 10 years now while Crytek cant even support their own game for more than 8 months.
I agree with everything but L4D blowing away crysis graphically.

I'm really excited for this game, but you're absolutely insane if you think that looks better than Crysis (even on Medium).
It's built on the source engine.......a great engine but it's still old.
C'mon man you're becoming delusional just to make a point....
