Skill level required for watercooling? - Page 2

pm sent about Freezone for sale. I agree with everyone else though, your temps are too high even with air cooling. I use Ceramique thermal paste and that seems to work very well.

Yeah, i didn't have any luck with AS5 myself. I've tried applying it on numerous occasions, and it doens't do much to keep my temps down.

Well after looking around i believe my Zalmann fan is installed the wrong way. In 90% of the pics ive seen, most people have their fan facing sideways and mine is facing straight down at the graphics cards. I wish i would have payed more attention when i installed it, because now ill probably have to take the whole motherboard out and unscrew everything!!! It was pretty difficult getting that thing in there in the first place, i cant imagine doing it all over again.

OMG that is definitely the reason you are seeing high temps. The Zalman 9700 is designed to exhaust air out the back of your case. Re-install your heatsink so that the fan is blowing air out the back of your case where hopefully you have an exhaust fan helping it out as well.
