If you are worried about removing the battery i know your pain I had to do it to my P5N-E and I was crapping my pants!!!

You also got to remember the Q6600 and the quad series are the most power hungry Intel CPU's Have you connected everything correctly? I had this problem because i forgot to put the smallest of cables into my board.

I hate installing Mobo's I'm not looking forward to installing the Striker II Formula

yeah, the 8pin connector is in, the 24 is in, the cooler fan is plugged in, i used the jumper cap, did all this, and i still get the same damn beep and failure

There are two little latches opposite sides to each other push them away from each other and the battery should pop up and you'll be able to pick it up and pull it out

it didnt quite come out like it should, i kinda had to force it out from underneath but now its out and im gonna wait 10 minutes like you said

You should never force the battery out. It should have just popped up I would have used some pliers and gently push them away from each other on my mobo it's a simple one latch it took me 10 mins to get it out smoothly

Can you see the battery near the 3rd PCI-ex Slot it has two little latches it looks like you need to push them in opposite directions this will be hard with your hands so use some tools like pliers
