New Build - Need some help and suggestions

Thread Starter
This build is for my sister. She lives in an appartment and she asked me to build her a small, relatively cheap pc, for spacial reasons, but she wants a nice one and a somewhatly big monitor. This is a replacement for her laptop... I priced similar laptops with similar specs and they start at around $1500 and go upwards of $2700. I am pretty set on the case, processor, motherboard, and monitor but I am open to suggestions.

Video Card < http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102700 >

Total with Shipping is $656.40
Minus the rebates ($80 total)= $576.40 Shipped

Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

True but you have no monitor and the case I have is smaller. If I took the monitor out it would come to $408.**, plus there are no rebates, I have $50 in rebates not including my monitor. She needs a small comp thats why I chose a mATX case. For $10 more I might look into the next series Motherboard though...+rep. Thank you.

You do know that Black edition processors come with no CPU cooler?
I would pick a 780G over a 690G as this one supports DX10 and it is hybrid capable so you can add a cheap graphics card and get more FPS.

Here is a graphics card that supported:

Yup, just look at the newegg reviews under 'cons'. I would recommend a freezer 64 pro but I don't think that will fit in a low profile case.

Cons: This is listed as Retail (very misleading). Since it does not include a heatsink or a fan it should be listed as OEM.

If you are not overclocking it, this one comes with a cooler but has no unlocked multi -

@ coffeejunky. Thank you. +rep

@ wolf 08... so you think I should ditch the < http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102700 > vid card and get the one you suggested? It is not that much more to go with the one I had picked and it is better. Plus I am leary about using a fanless vid card because they get quite hot, even when not oc'ed.

Well you can get a 3850 and it will cost abit more then that card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131096
Newegg has it for $99.99 after a $30 rebate.
It also will perform much better then a 2600XT.
