Memory Timings Jumping in CPU-Z

Thread Starter
Hey everyone. I've got a weird issue with my memory. I have 4 gigs of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220144 this ram. I manually set the timings to 4-4-4-12 2T running at 2.2 volts. I even tried to up the voltage to 2.25 but the timings still jump around. I have also overclocked my E6600 to 3.375 Ghz using an MSI P6N Platinum motherboard. I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is just some kind of error on CPU-Z due to my overclock or if there is some issue with my memory. I've run a memory test using memtest86 but I only did one cycle and there weren't any errors. There's a picture of the weird timing issue with CPU-Z attached. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Probably just a problem with the cpu-z driver refreshing. Those cannot be your actual timings.

Also, if you are only running stock speeds on that memory you shouldn't need more than 2.0 to 2.1v.

I think the issue was with CPUID hardware monitor. I didn't have that open for the longest time and then right when I started the program the timings started jumping around again. I'm not sure if its just some kind of conflict between CPU-Z and the CPUID hardware monitor, but it doesn't seem to happen when I only have CPU-Z open. And for the voltage, if I leave it on the auto setting in bios the ram timings go to 5-5-5-18. When I bought it the specs said 2.2v and 4-4-4-12 timings so I just figured I'd adjust to those.

thanks
