[size=5]Linksys WRT54 Router Hardware Information

Finding Your Router Version

On the underside of your router, you will find several bar codes. In the top left corner you will find "Model Number". Ok, so you have lets say a WRT54G..... There are about 8 different versions of the WRT56G and the majority of them differ hardware wise.

To determine which version you have, whether it be the WRT54G/WRT54GL/WRT54GS - simply look at the first 4 digits of your serial number. Write those 4 digits/numbers down and refer back here to see which version you have and the hardware in it.
