If single GTX280 can beat 9800GX2, I'll take 2 of them.

Depending on benchmarks I probably get two of the 280's. Both within step-up on the $339 I paid for two of the 9800GTX's I have now. Little step-up love and golden. Will shift the 3rd 9800GTX over to my other box and give the old cards to my buddy (pair of 7900GTX's)

For right now im set with my 8800 Ultra but I am always intrigued by the idea of new hardware and irritated when I no longer have the top that is available.

It is really just the idea that there is something better or I could be doing something better that bothers me. I mean there is a reason why the flagship cards always sell even if its a tiny bit better....

Any way for now im set but maybe a while down the line ill make the switch. I missed the 9800gx2 setup by 7 days so im just sitting on this for a while.

Bah, all the new games are multiplatformers or console ports anyway. The 8800GTX has no problems with any of them, and even Crysis runs at mildly acceptable framerates with high settings.

Maybe if some of the game developers actually stressed this hardware we have now, instead of stressing hardware from 2005 and throwing us the scraps. I have no other use for a GPU than games, so that's kinda the deal breaker.
