Urgent Help Needed!!!

hi!

i bought a new motherboard, and i cant get the fan off the motherboard to put on my new one. i had to break the clips off to get to the cpu, and now i cant put it back on because i dont have clips, what can i do?

What fan are you talking about? The NB fan? What motherboard did you just buy?

You snapped off the CPU HSF?! Well aside from possibly damaging your motherboard there's not much you can do to keep it on there evenly. If you have a new one, I don't think I understand your problem. To me, you were going to remove the old one to put the new one on. You just happened to break the old one. Your new one comes with the hardware to mount it on there.

I don't know what he did haha. Sounds like he couldn't get the stock HSF off that came with his processor so he ripped it off. But if he got a new one, and didn't break his motherboard in the process of ripping his old one off there shouldn't be a problem as far as I can see

Sounds to me like he broke the 775 pushpins by releasing them incorrectly. The only solution would be to find some replacement pushpins off eBay or buy a newer better CPU cooler.
