Opinions for Bro's comp thx

Thread Starter
hi there,
bro just got a well paid new job and finally decided to get a new comp in place of his current 5 year old comp... so after looking around the options available to me i end up with the list below:

the budget is actually around 1300-1400AUD but as you can see i am already a bit overbudget... so i am thinking if i can get some help from fellow OCN members.

also note that the reason i chose this asus mobo is mainly because of the extra wifi feature (stupid i know) but i also read some positive review about it... if i were to change it for another mobo, can someone also recommend a wireless connection adapter (the one i got from D-link suks pretty badly since the antenna is blocked by my table. still looking for ways to make the antenna longer or make a new antenna x.x)

and lastly just wondering if there are any new graphic card or parts coming out that i should take note of, as my bro is in no rush to finalize all the things yet (wont be getting his pay until end of the month )

that's all guys... thanks in advance for any help at all

For $300 you can get the newer 9800gtx cards, unless your choices are limited to outside of the US. And nvidia is releasing their new series geforce gtx 280 on the 18th of this month, but you can imagine the prices.

i think the new gtx280 will be pretty expensive and thus will definitely get me over budget... since i still have yet to get a monitor (yes the 1400AUD budget include a monitor)... so i am still looking for some advices on cheaper equivalent parts...
