Thread Starter
I brought my laptop with home premium already installed (32bit)
than i built my computer and brought a 64bit edition of home premium, so i have the disc...

now my laptops playing up quite a bit, just occassionly goes bonkas and i have to do a restore to a previous point, which as a uni student, causes HUGE headaches, not knowing if im bout to loose a weeks worth of work.

i want to reformat it...
two questions, can i use my 64bit to reinstall vista, and just enter my product code that came with the laptop.. if i cant is there a way i can get microsoft to give me a 32bit version of it for free, attahced to my laptops product code key.

also, as it is a lenevo laptop, it has a lot of lenovo features,, will i be able to reinstlal these, for example i will loose funcitonaly of lots of function keys etc, if thinkvantage is not reinstalled, and i quite like some of the lenevo features.

can anyone help me.. if you need clairfication on what im saying, please ask:cool :

Not sure about losing features.
But I know you can use the key.
