these days 19 is the absolute lowest youll want to go but i hope you will take my word for it that a 22" monitor(which is what i have) is the perfect size to have especialy in comparison to a 19" its like the move from a 14 to 19 i bet you were in heaven the day you made that switch, it would be the same thing those 3 inches really change life for you on the pc, on my computer i can have two full internet explorer windows up at once. i hope youll reconsider a 22" monitor if you can afford it i would say your monitor is the most important thing on your computer to be nice. anyhow this is subbed so feel free to ask anymore questions i gtg but i might come back and give u a more specific list of parts for your budget.
The thing is I've never made the jump from 14 to 19 yet lol, and 19 looks like heaven. I just went out to BestBuy and 19 inches looks just right, I looked at and imagined gaming on the 22" - the screens so big you actually have to drag your eyes across it to see the whole thing. I'm used to seeing the whole screen just by looking at its center(13 and 14inch monitors). I don't understand how 3 years ago it was normal to have a 15/16 inch screen but now the normal size is 22 fricken inches dude - thats huge!

i just upgraded to a 22" from a 19" non lcd monitor about 4 months ago and its something that you get used to within a day. but after having bought this monitor using a 19" makes me angry at how small it is the resolution is horrible. i highly highly suggest you get a 22" you will never look back after 24 hours of use. i would suggest you try a freinds 22" monitor or something if you dont beleive me but i cant stress enough how much youll appreciate my opinion once you actualy get the monitor. anyhow good luck any more questions?
