Does WD even have a 15k RPM drive yet?
And what about SSDs? Isn't that like the new thing these days?

they probably make SCSI 15K drives..

AND SSD's, IMO.. Suck.

Short life spans, and horrible $$$ per GB.

I hope they aren't foolish enough to make the same mistake they did on the current new Raptor... which is that they DO NOT fit in quick swap due to the non standard location of the SATA and power terminals.

The vast majority of SCSI drives are 15k RPM.

SSD's are new, so don't hit on them. They are a ****load better than what harddrives were when they were new. Their advancing pretty fast.

Woah! 20,000 RPM! I'm thinking the reason behind this hdd being "silent" is because the noise it makes is high-pitched enough that it's harder to hear.

Im aware that SCSI is 15K.

Advancing fast or not, they still have crappy life spans...

Needs a bulletproof case at those speeds or failure would take out more than the drive.

Just saw Dukes post, he's got it covered.
