Will it handle?

Thread Starter
Will the 8800GT Superclocked be able to handle games like COD4 and Crysis on a 1680x1050 resolution comfortably? How much overclock can I get out of that thing? Any recommendations for a 3rd party cooler?

Cheerio cyborg939,

COD4 will run on the 8800GT with this resolution, but for Crysis I don't see it maxed out. High might be possibly. I didn't play it yet, but I suppose it'd be still very good looking .

I haven't oced my gpu, so there might be some1 else who can answer that.

Bump and greets

COD4 will run fairly well at that but as said Crysis is a different ball game altogether. With that RES I would say Medium for most settings. However I have not experimented since the patch so I could be wrong.

overclock your cpu a bit, then in crysis put everything on high except for shadows at medium! that should do it

I have the exact same resolution and a similar graphics card if a little less powerful.

CoD4 will run at max with as much AA as you can tack on and it won't drop below 50 fps.

Crysis I run on a custom configuration which works fantastically as a hybrid of Very High and High and I get 22-25 fps. At the normal configuration of High It dips down to 18 at times though.

ENTERPRISE mate, Crysis isn't THAT demanding

Well I have not run Crysis in a little while so like I said I could be wrong but setting everything to high without any kind of adjustments would still be a challenge for that card.
